We’re excited to officially announce a fundraising gala celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Seminole Club® of Greater Washington, DC!
To commemorate this milestone, DC Noles will join FSU graduates from across the country and around the world to ‘Raise the Torch’ in support of Florida State University. Please join us on April 25, 2015 as the DC Noles host ‘A Garnet & Gold Affair’ featuring a night of cocktails, conversation, dancing, and most importantly – Seminole Spirit – in support of our great alma mater.
For a half-century, Florida State Alumni who have transitioned to our nation’s capital from the Sunshine State have relied on the DC Noles to remain connected to the Seminole community. Whether it’s a rowdy game-watching party at Union Pub to cheer on our 2014 National Championship football team or volunteering at the DC Central Kitchen food bank, DC Noles provides an outlet to maintain a meaningful connection to FSU.
We all share much more than four short years at a university or calling the DC metro area home; we share the core values of Florida State University: Vires, Artes, Mores-Strength, Skill, and Character. We also share a responsibility to give back to the university that has given us so much.
With giving and responsibility in mind, we ask that you help us in fundraising for FSU’s capital campaign. The ‘Raise the Torch’ campaign will enable our University to improve the student experience, serve as an economic engine for the State through research and job creation, and improve the quality of life for society as a whole through the production and dissemination of knowledge and ideas.
The DC Noles invite you to join us on this journey. We encourage you to contribute to the capital campaign through our club. All donations received through our fundraising efforts will be presented to the University as a unified contribution from our Seminole community here in the DC Metro area.
