We will also be raffling off an original piece of artwork by FSU alum Daniel Ackerman titled “The Seminole Spirit” (valued at $1000). Daniel is a 2013 graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design. The Seminole Spirit was originally created to raise money and awareness for Alzheimers research. The piecewas made in honor of the memory of Daniel Ackerman’s Grandmother, Arline Marilyn Joseph. Daniel equates the “unconquered” selflessness of the 2013 National Champions with the same “unconquered” life and spirit of his Grandmother. A framed gallery poster print signed by Jameis Winston was auctioned in Tallahassee for $1500 with all proceeds going to Alzheimer’s research. 25% of the funds raised from the artwork raffle will be donated to University Hospitals Case Medical Center for Alzheimers research and the rest to the FSU Student Veterans Center.
