Seminole Club of Greater Washington, DC

Seminole Service Day 2013

On Saturday, March 23, 2013, Seminole Clubs around the country will wear Garnet and Gold and represent Florida State by pitching in on local service projects in their communities. The DC Noles will be joining in on the action, and we are asking that you give of your time, not of your treasure – and represent FSU to the fullest!

The DC Noles will be volunteering with Food For All DC, a nonprofit charity that strives to provide food to low-income, home-bound residents in real need. Their clients are generally elderly citizens, handicapped, or single mothers with young children.

Volunteer spots are limited!

Please e-mail ssanchez2010@dcnoles.org with your name, phone number, and names of volunteers you will be bringing with you.

DETAILS:
The DC Noles will meet at the Universalist National Memorial Church, 1810 16th St. NW (16th and S St. NW) at 8:45 a.m. The church is walking distance from the Dupont Circle metro station on the Red Line, and U St./Cardozo metro station on the Green Line.

We will begin packing boxes at 9:00 a.m., and deliver them around 9:30 a.m. Most delivery routes take about two hours. Generally, volunteers are paired together so feel free to sign up with a friend or family member.

Food For All DC requests that if you plan to drive, park on the street and not in the alley.

Seminole Service Day is a great way to represent Florida State University in Washington, D.C., and to get involved with the DC Noles. We hope you can participate!
