Join DC Noles and FSU alumni across the country for this year’s Seminole Service Day on Saturday, March 18 at 10:30 am.

This year the DC Noles will again be helping with clean up and restoration around the King Greenleaf Recreation Center and Lansburgh Park in DC’s 6th Ward by the Southwest Waterfront.

Seminole Service Day – Saturday, March 18th
When: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18th 2017
Where: King Greenleaf Recreation Center, 201 N St. SW, Washington DC 20024
What to Wear: Long sleeves, pants & closed toe shoes
What to Bring: Gloves, if possible

Rain, snow or shine, the event will run from 10:30 am until about 12:00 pm. No registration is necessary. Please arrive promptly so we can work together as a group through our service event!

Please meet at the entrance to the recreation center at the corner of 1st Street SW and N Street SW. We will take a group picture prior to the park cleanup. We will begin our project around the King Greenleaf Recreation Center and work our way north one block past the DC Police Department to Lansburgh Park and the SW Community Garden.

Appropriate attire includes long sleeve shirts, long pants and closed toed shoes. Please bring your own gloves if possible. We will have a limited supply of gloves on hand, but can’t guarantee a pair for everyone. Trash and recycling bags along with drinking water will be provided.

King Greenleaf Recreation Center is located at 201 N Street SW, Washington, DC 20024. Parking is available in the neighborhood surrounding the park. The park is also easily metro accessible from both the Waterfront and Navy Yard Metro stops on the green line.

Only in the event of severe weather as determined by WTOP.com will the project be rescheduled.
