Seminole Club of Greater Washington, DC

Introducing the 2013-2014 DC Noles Board

Fellow DC Noles,

I write you today to introduce the 2013-2014 Officers and Board of Directors of the FSU Seminole Club of Greater Washington, D.C. (DC Noles). But first, I want to thank everyone that participated in this year’s DC Noles Board Elections; we had a record turnout of Noles who voted!

It is an honor and privilege to serve my second and final term as President of the DC Noles, alongside Vice President Howard Shores, Secretary Farrah Saint-Surin, and Treasurer Brian Anweiler. We are joined by returning Directors Peri Farbstein, Emily Grossman, Will Higgins, Daryl Levine, Joe Paul, and Grant Williams, and we welcome new Directors Chelsea Albers, Ryan Powers, Maria Santos, Allen Van Brunt, and Philip Villeneuve. Our thanks and appreciation go to outgoing Directors Jenn Ettinger, Zane Moss, Mike Orlando, Chelsea Pedé, and Kelly Porter.

For almost fifty years, this club has been a pillar of Seminole pride in the nation’s capital. In the past year, the DC Noles Board launched new initiatives to expand our outreach to Seminoles throughout the greater DC area, added new philanthropic activities, increased our social media presence, and introduced official DC Noles logos that appropriately represent our Alma Mater and Washington, D.C.

The 2013-2014 DC Noles Board will continue to improve upon these goals, set new ones, as well as maintain our support of Florida State University and the local community through our scholarship program. The DC Noles Board will also reintroduce Capital Alumni Network (CAN) flag football to the DC Noles this Fall! And last, but most certainly not least, the DC Noles will continue the tradition of coming together every game day to watch and cheer for our Noles at Union Pub on Capitol Hill, our home for game-watching parties and other events.

The 2013-2014 DC Noles Officers and Board of Directors are looking forward to meeting you and serving you. In Seminole Spirit,
